ロールシャッター / Rolling Door
「見山是山，見山不是山。」
小時候最不喜歡鐵捲門，因為常常生鏽，很難開關。尤其在電動馬達還不普遍的年代，都要手拿鐵製長鉤，才能把鐵捲門嘩啦嘩啦地拉下來（而且很大聲）。然而你有沒有注意過，許多舊式鐵捲門上方氣孔都是「山峰」造型呢？是否由日治文化的「富士山」元素發展而來已不可考，但相較於簡約至上的現代美學，也是值得細細品味的設計巧思。
子供の頃、私が一番嫌いだったのは、錆びやすく、開け閉めがとても困難な鉄製のロールシャッターでした。特に、電動モーターが一般的でなかった時代には、鉄製の長いフックを手で持って、ロールシャッターをバタバタと引き下ろす必要がありました（そして、とても大きな音がしました）。しかし、あなたは古いタイプのロールシャッターの上に「山」の形をした穴がたくさんあることに気づいたことがありますか？日本統治文化の「富士山」の要素から発展したかどうかは定かではありませんが、シンプルな現代美学に比べて、価値あるデザインのアイデアだと思います。

When I was a child, I hate the iron rolling doors in my home because they were often rusty and difficult to open and close. Especially at the time when electric motors were not common, you have to hold a long iron hook to pull the iron rolling door down. However, in Taiwan many of the old iron rolling doors have “mountain” shaped air holes on top. And most of it looks like the "Mount Fuji" of Japan. I think it is related to Taiwanese history of Japanese colonization period. Maybe no-one can confirm how the design was inspired. But the “mountain” shaped air holes detail is very delicate and interesting compare to the simple square shape nowadays.
